Summer Scarves 2

I can’t believe there are some places in the US that are still getting snow.  How crazy is that?  Here in Charleston, it’s been in the 90’s for almost a week.   Even though the days are almost unbearably hot, we still have some cool nights.  I hate having to carry around a jacket and I think most people here in Charleston have that same feeling.

Not only is wearing a light weight scarf trendy, it’s also a great way to keep you warm during the cooler nights.  While eating out over the weekend, I noticed a lot of folks in shorts and tanks, but noticed many shivering while eating out on the patio at Mellow Mushroom.  I wasn’t terribly cold, but I know I would have been more comfortable if I took my scarf inside.

I went home and made up a couple new scarves for the Summer.  I purchased some gorgeous chevron fabric a few months back.  I decided it was time to pull it out and use it for scarves.  After completing a few I made the  decision to purchase some more colors for the Summer collection.

Let me know if you’d like to give a few of these a try in Madison! We had fleece and heavy knit scarves in the winter, but we don’t have anything like this now, except for a few vintage scarves. :-)
