The best thing about a new year is the new opportunity to put the past in the past. New years for me is a chance to reflect on what I can do to grow as a person. With growth comes from change and that’s not always easy.
This year, I have several personal goals one of which is finally getting around to running several 5k’s. I haven’t been running like I want to and believe that if I sign up for a race, I’ll be motivated to continue running. Another one of my goals is to finally get organized. I started off the year right, but cleaning out and organizing my pantry as well as another cabinet. The process takes time, but I am working towards organizing the entire house by the end of the year. Hopefully Pinterest will lead me in the right direction.
As for Myla’s Bags, over the past two years, I have dreamt of finally purchasing a industrial sewing machine. My poor home sewing machines are taking a beating and seem to always be in the shop. An industrial sewing machine will be able to handle all the heavy materials I am sewing and won’t need to be serviced so much. My dream is to get a Juki with the automatic thread trimmer, but will test out several machines to see which one is better for my sewing needs. I know what I want, but I know that I must purchase what I need in order to be successful.
At the end of last year, I had several e-mails about collaborating on different projects. I am excited about what will come of this and will keep you all posted about these projects. I am excited and ask for your patience as I go through doing these projects. I also look forward to your continued support as I work with other artists and small businesses. Us little businesses are only able to stay in business with your support.
I am excited and looking forward to what 2016 has to bring.
